Zoe-perry

Perry was born on the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles included two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. The actress did not go on to consider a career in acting after reaching the age of adulthood due to her parents being afraid of the negative effects that stress could have. Perry admitted that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began acting to connect with new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went in New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California and she was able to find theater work. She and her mother starred on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she starred alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of nine episodes of ABC's show The Family. In 2017, she was a part-time character in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series of CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. Despite her family link to the character, she was offered the part through an audition.
