Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and author who won several prizes. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). The desire to become an artist was in part influenced by her upbringing in a New York family of artists. She began as a photo assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. She was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as an aspiring young actor. MacGraw was a worldwide star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After just three short films she was deemed one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. In 1972, her footprints and autograph were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers came out. MacGraw was married three times.
